My philosophy is to improvise. I go to the Anza-Borrego Desert (only 2 hours from San Diego) when I have the opportunity. Every time I do not know what I am going to see. I do not plan any photo. I let the desert speak to my eyes. I let the desert and the light guide my steps.
I was in the Culp Valley when I saw from distance these flowers. I turned my head and I noted the mountains far away, the clouds and the bright light. I then “imagined” the scene in infrared “invisible” spectrum, realizing that what I was going to witness was unique and not repeatable.
When I look at this photo I remember all of these feelings. This is Anza-Borrego Desert.
Each moment is unique
